Tepig runs off and Black chases after him. Black takes one of the Pokédexes and, getting excited, he sneezes and accidentally releases all three Pokémon and they begin attacking each other and the two other Pokédexes are damaged. Inside each Pokéball is a beginner Pokémon for him and his friends, Bianca and Cheren. After receiving the package, Black finds inside three Pokéballs and three Pokédexes. Newly-minted Pokémon trainer Black is really excited about starting his Pokémon adventure, up to the point that he stays out in the rain all night with his Braviary "Brav" and Munna "Musha", to wait for the package for him from Professor Juniper. The series is a special edition of the Pokémon Adventures. The manga are written by Hidenori Kusaka with art by Satoshi Yamamoto and were released by Viz Media and VizKids in the United States. The first two volumes were released in the United States on J and ran for eight volumes that were released bimonthly until July 3, 2012. They follow the adventures of Black and his journey through the Unova region. Pokémon Black and White is a manga series based on the Pokémon video game series of the same name.
